Fallopian Tube Adenocarcinoma

Hi chiko,

I also have fallopian tube cancer. For 5 years, all the docs thought it was endometriosis. Since they wanted so long to do biopsy now i have metastis. Did your mother take DES? Mine did so I'm looking for the cause. I have a rare bone marrow disorder so i can't have chemo or radiation. What treatment is working for you and who is your doc? hope to hear from you soon.

Fallopian Tube Cancer

Hi Jonie,
I had left breast cancer 18 years ago. Had lumpectomy and radiation therapy. Now I have Fallopian Tube Cancer. I completed six cycles of chemo with Carboplatin/Taxol about six weeks ago. My tumor markers went down to now around 8 from 67..Since I live in Wheaton, Illinois my doctor is from Hinsdale, IL. His name is Dr. Sharma at Hinsdale Hospital. I don't think my mother used DES. Let me konw of how you are doing....Cancer can be treated with other than chemo....

Fallopian Tube Cancer

My mom has fallopian tube cancer. She was diagnosed on September 2, 2005. She had several tumors removed including the entire omentum and all female organs. She is 71 years old and very tired from her first chemo treatment. I wish the absolute best for all of you. This is so new to me and I would appreciate anything you can offer in knowledge or support. I'm so happy I found this site.

Thanks,
Anna

ChikoHello Chiko, My mother's cardiologist has recommended Dr. Sharma yet a general surgeon we've seen referred us to another gyneonc who works out of Loyola. How has your experience been with Dr. Sharma? I'm a bit uncomfortable seeing a doctor based upon a buddy system and workking location of a cardiologist rather than seeking whomever has the best skills and treatments available. Thanks for your input, Kim
