L16 Skin Cancer

My Husband has had previous Keratosis removed from his arms but has now had a lump cut out of the side of his nose. Actually twice now, second time today, first last Thursday. The Pathology on the first specimen came back as an "L16" Skin Cancer. We can't find any information on this. Can anyone please advise what exactly an "l16 Skin Cancer" is?
