      <title>my Father Has a Tumor Under Cerebellum:-(</title>
<description>I am very new here and I write from Switzerland. I'm glad to find a forum to learn some info about our problem.I hope you will try to help me.

My father has a tumor under his cerebellum, unfortunatelly the doctors can't say what kind of a tumor it is yet. But they said its growing and the place is a risky place for an operation, where all the nerves of the body are intersecting. But still they have to operate him. This operation will be on 16.November.
He had this tumor since very long, may be since 15 years but it was not growing. Now that he had some sympthoms like vomiting, neusea, balance problems and his last MR proved that its been growing, the operation became actual topic for us.First the doctors said its ependymom, but now they say its somethingelse. They said they can not say anything before they see it.So we are waiting for the operation.

I am scared,I am confused, sometimes I feel strong, sometimes very very weak. I need some good recovered examples. I made a lot of research in the internet but could not find any hopeful story.Do you know anyone who is operated from that part?Thank you for your time and care...

      <title>my Son Had Brain Cancer</title>
      <description>Ashley ,
My name is Nancy and my son was 6 years old when we found out he had cancer of the brain.
It was a very slow growing type of cancer that grew in the cerebellum called Meduloblastoma . Aaron had surgery to have it removed 3 weeks of radiation to the brain and spine and 48 weeks of chemo. Aaron is almost 15 now and is cancer free.
What helped me was to read all the information I could so I knew what we were in for . The Doctors weren't sure of what the cancer was for sure until it was removed but they had a very good idea and they were right.
It is a very scarry thing to see so dont ever be afraid to ask for help and a shoulder to lean on.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
