When her hair go so thin that it was time to shave we took out the clippers and finished off what radiation had started. She has been approximately 5 weeks since her whole brain radiation treatments. She also had stereotactic radiation 2 1/2 weeks ago. She is very self conscious about her baldness and never did ask the Dr. how long she could expect before the hair regrows. Can anyone give us an idea..... Thx Loving Husband Tue, 01 Nov 2005 00:00:00 GMT Hi, My husband finished radiation in April 05 and his hair started coming back in the beginning of July. He now has almost all of his hair back although it is thinner than before. The area of intense radiation (where his surgery scar is) is much slower to return. Our rad-onc said 12 weeks was pretty standard to expect re-growth over the majority of the area and that he expected her hair to come back thinner in some areas. Except for around my surgery scare (where they too did the intense radiation) my hair started to fill in really good around October and November. Right now my hair is about 4-5 inches long.
