Klatskin

bile duct cancer of the upper part of the bile duct is called a Klatskin tumor. Usually the patient will present with jaundice or abnormal liver tests. A stent may be placed to help the jaundice but the only cure is surgery. Sometime surgery is not possible depending on where the tumor is and in this case a clinical trial may be offered.
If they are suggesting a transplant , then removal of the tumor is probably not possible.
