Ocean Thu, 03 Nov 2005 00:00:00 GMT Klatskin is a tumor and depending on size and whether its into blood vessels or not it can be resected or a transplant can be considered, radiation and chemo can be helpful but transplant might be best option, look into living related liver donation see my post at klatskin and transplant option under bile duct cancers. sometimes pt is too healthy and would linger on transplant list too long. good luck. kevin d Kevin d Fri, 13 Oct 2006 00:00:00 GMT dear kevin d, thank you for your reply. my mother had a couple of surgeries in padowa, italy and niether involved liver transplatation, they managed to take the tumor out. she is fine for now, thx.
