Liver Transplatation

my mother (50y) was diagnosed klatskin disease and doctors see the liver transplantation as the only way to do something about the disease. has anyone been in the same situation? and what does this mean, does anyone know, please?

Tumor

Klatskin is a tumor and depending on size and whether its into blood vessels or not it can be resected or a transplant can be considered, radiation and chemo can be helpful but transplant might be best option, look into living related liver donation see my post at klatskin and transplant option under bile duct cancers. sometimes pt is too healthy and would linger on transplant list too long. good luck. kevin d
