So they will change me to the study drug Exemestane this month and I haven't heard a lot about it. Has anyone taken this drug and what side effects have you had? Tamoxifen has givien me awful hot flashes!! So, I am hoping the study drug doesn't do that, but I understand I will have to worry about bone loss and will be put on a once a month pill for that. I am so tired of all the pills I am on now. Am anxious to hear from someone who has taken this drug. ThanksDear TeapotAlthough this is 2 years after your message, I would still like to reply.  I was changed to Aromasin (exemestane) after 2 years of being on tamoxifen - still had hot flushes, plus joint pain and stiffness, thin and sensitive skin, indigestion but to name a few side effects. As I am considered a low risk case (Stage 1c, mastectomy, chemo, no nodal infection) I have convinced my doctor to put me back on to Tamoxifen for the remainder of the 5 years. I only hope the side effects wear off quickly so that I can resume my normal active life - I am 54 years old.  I would be interested in hearing of your experience with exemestane.Kind regardsCharmaine  Charmaine Marie Sat, 26 May 2007 00:00:00 GMT
