Sarcoma Cancer

My wife has sarcoma cancer. It reportedly began in her fallopian tube, then went to her right ovary and then she had a large tumor removed from her colon. The tumor was diagonised as Mullerian mixed sarcoma. We went to Duke University and have a chemo plan, but I would like to know of other types of treatment and SUCCESSES for this rare type of cancer. Her chemo consistes of ifosfamide and mesna cisplatin which I believe is a standard form of chemo.

RE: Sarcoma Cancer

You will find a wealth of information on the sarcoma mailing list at ACOR. Here is the link: http://www.acor.org/index.html

Open the mailing lists and go to the sarcoma list. You will have to apply to join but it will be well worth it.

Good luck,

my Positive Sarcoma Experience

I was told that I had a Retroperatineal Sarcoma and that chemo might slow it down but would not make it go away. I have since had two surgeries that removed 23 and 21 pounds of tumors respectively. I went 11 months without any new sites but on my March o5 cat scan I had five new site, one on each lung and one each on my spine, next to my right kidney and one below my liver. Each was about the size of a lemon. My family got on the internet and found two alternative medicine treatments. I took the first on about four weeks and the secon one for three weeks before my April cat scan. All of the sites had reduced by 20-30%. On my last cat scan on June 22 the two on my lungs were GONE and the other three had reduced by at least 75% and prompted my Doctors to state that "this is nothing short of a Amazing. I am attaching the twoweb sites that have produced such amazing results for me and hope they will be of help to you and your wife! These treatments seem to work the quickest on fast growing soft-sided tumors, but do work on most tumors. Thanks Carl

My mother also was diagnosed with sarcoma. She also has a very large tumor in her stomach but when they opened her up they were unable to remove the tumor because it had attached to the lining of her stomach. She's not on any medication nor is she receiving chemo. I really would like the website addresses so that maybe we could look into some other forms of treatment. Thanks.

Sarcoma

My husband had a large sarcoma in the thorax and it was
inoperable because it was entwined with all the major
vessels in the chest cavity. They did 6 rounds of
aggressive chemo, doxirobicin and insofamide and the
tumor is gone. They plan now to monitor with CT scans
every 2 months.

Sarcoma

Hi,
I have a spindlecell sarcoma that started in my rt. hand in 2003. I had my hand and fore arm amputated to stop it but a year later it had metastisized to my lungs. I have had no chemo and have been monitored by my doctor , who tells me that heavy doses of chemo will give me a 20%chance of tumor shrinkage. Well my problem right now is that I have a 7x8 cm tumor growing under my rt arm. It is very painful and I rather try alternative medicine first to shrink it. Please send me the web sites that helped you. I have tried a lot of stuff and am willing to try anything. I am a newlywed and only 30 yrs old. I really would love to see some shrinkage in this huge tumor. Thanks a lot.

I am excited and hopeful that we can bring up this information to her current oncologist there, with hopes that he's heard of the treatment.

Dear Bob, how is your wife doing? I too, am diagnoised with mullerian mixed sarcoma. They said I had cancer of the fallopian tube, but now they are calling it the mixed sarcoma. I had two treatments with Ifex, cisplatin, and adriamycin. This treatment was hard on my blood counts, and is taking a long time for my platlets to recover. I also had five treatments for ovarian cancer (this is what they initially treated me for). We are now thinking of going to the Cancer Treatment center of America in Zion, Il.

Thats GREAT news because my father who is 44 has a sarcoma all through his chest and lungs. It has grown to almost 15cm in diameter. He is now in the royal adelaide hospital being treated with ifosfamide. His last chemo did not work but it paused its growth for a month, then it came back again. His cancer is also inoperable. I am happy to hear that your husbands chemo has worked for someone, i am praying my dads cancer will do the same.
