Dad With All The Symptoms

My dad has been sick since feb 05,he has all the symptoms of bile duct cancer.the doctors cannot get a biopsy, because of the location of the tumor.it is located in the intrahepatic bile duct.they say there is to many blood vessels in that area and it would be dangerous to go in that far.they have done multiply biopsies in surrounding areas, and they have all came back negative.he has had to have a drain tube put in his side to drain bile out into a bag.the doctors started chemo back in aug, because his pain was getting worse.he has had 12 treatments and each time he gets a ct scan,it shows that it has not grown any.does anyone else know what else could be done.

my Dad is Ill Too

Hello

I live in Denmark and I am 36 years old.

My father was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma and spread to the liver ind february 2005. He was offered chemo but not as a cure. He went on the chemo regime with oxaliplatin and gemzar and xeloda. His tumor regressed sligthly but has now progressed and they have stopped offering chemo. So now I am desperate for starting a new battle against the tumor. But here in Denmark if one thing doesn't work you are not likely to get the chance to try another thing.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

What chemo was/is your father on?

My dad also has several drains internally that is.

Looking forward to your reply.
