my Wife's Present Asituation

Dear All,
I had communicated with you some time back regarding my wife's problem ( She had Astrocytoma Grade 4 lt. Cingulate Gyrus Posterior). She was treated with Surgery complete excision, followed by RT and Chemo. I also instituted an altrnate therapy of Ruta 6 and Cal. Phos as recommended. Her chemo course completed in October 2005. She had 2 episodes of focal seizures in late November and early December. She developed a mild stroke on 11th Dec. Evaluation with MRI revealed recurrence at the original site with involvement of Corpus Callosum and a lesion on the Rt. inferior Frontal lobe. Consultation with all the concerned specialists involved in her Tt were obtained. We also consulted many other specialists we know. Most of them opined it is futile to continue Tt as the results are extemely poor. All of them adviced to keep her as comfortable as possible.
Yhis message is posted to all those who responded to my initial communication as I felt it my duty to inform the present situation of my wife.
Incidentally to remind you My wife is 61 (Tomorrow is her birthday) and is a renowned Prof. of Pathology in Undua and I am a retired Prof. of Urology.
I do not expect any Miracles but my hope is how to keep her comfortable till the very end.
Sinceely yours,
Prof. P. Venugopal

Your Wife

Dear Prof. Venugopal,

I am so sorry to hear of your wife's condition. Of course it is something we all fear here. She is lucky to have such a caring husband. Thank you for keeping us posted, I remember reading your past post and was wondering how things were going. I will keep you both in my thoughts and prayers.
