a Third Time Nhl Has Returned

My husband was first told in 2002 he had NHL, he underwent chemo, CHOPS and it went into remission. Then in Feb. 2005 once again he was told the NHL was back. In May he underwent a Stem Cell Transplant, and for the last 7 months everything seemed to be okay. Just today we were told the NHL was back. This is a very aggressive cancer, Large T Cell, anaplastic... now he is being given the options of more chemo, hoping the cancer again goes into remission and a mini transplant which leaves few options open if the cancer returns in the future. Please say a prayer for him.

Same Case...

Hi, sorry to hear about your father. The drugs you mentioned are not an option, my husband has Large T Cell anaplastic NHL. Unfortunately at this time there are few drugs to treat this type of cancer. He is now doing ICE chemo, which is the chemo used before a bone marrow transplant. He has had it once before right before his stem cell transplant. ICE is a very strong chemo that totally surpasses the bone marrow and its capacity to produce white cells. Today his counts were so low he had to receive a platelet transfusion, but that is to be expected. He is scheduled for another round of ICE next month and then a PET scan. It seems as though we have been thru this so many times we are too versed in the drugs and side effects! My sympathy is with you and your father. Just keep your spirits high and a sense of humor doesn't hurt either and all will work out for the best. Renee

Faith Healing

Hi Ammontrio, just wanted to let you know that God can heal your husband. Last tues. i was inforned that I have yrs, to look forward to. Instead of months. Praise the Lord. My pastoral friend had a healing service at her church for me. She also works for my surgeon to. That was in Oct. After I was Dx. with terminal follicular lymphoma stage 4. Had 4 tumors removed at that time. Praise God the Pet Scan results resently showed that 2/3 of my tumors have disappeared. PTL. Our God is awesome. I still have tumors and the ca. But in stage 2 and 3. And oh it is wonderful . kept asking my dr. if he had the rt. patient. Because I was having some abdominal problems. But it was the Lord removing the tumors. I may still have to undergo chemo. Which before wasnt a option.Well my friend I could go on and on praising and thanking God for his awesome love and healing. And will remember you and your husband in prayer. God Bless. Carla

God is in The Healing Business

I had diffuse large B-Cell (DLBC) Lymphoma in August 2001. They did surgery and then CHOP chemotherapy. Then in October the DLBC returned and along with it are follicular cells. I had RICE chemotherapy this time. The tumor is gone at this time. They want me to have an autologous stem cell transplant; however, after learning that there is only a 40% possible cure rate for the B-cells and no cure for the follicular cells, a 5-10 mortality rate, and all the side effects that can occur to all of my organs with the total body radiation, I believe I will NOT have the transplant. God has healed me of a crooked spine (dextroscoliosis) in 1982 and he healed me of DAILY headaches after having the for 9 solid years in 1999. He is now going to have to heal me of all of these lymphoma cells. I am going to a serious prayer meeting tomorrow night and expect my healing.
God Bless All of You

Follicular Non Hodgkins Lymphoma Stage 3

After 6 months of remission, I have a reoccurance of follicular non hodgkins lymphoma.
I am going to Cancer Treatments Centers of America in Zion Illinois where I will receive chemo with Rituxan and Zevalin, a new treatment approved by the FDA. I am 74 and hoping for the best. Pray does help heal:

A PRAYER FOR HEALING

LORD,
You invited all who are burdened to come to You.
Allow Your healing hand to heal me.
Touch my soul with Your compassion for others.
Touch my heart with Your courage
 and infinite love for all.
Touch my mind with Your wisdom,
that my mouth may always proclaim Your praise.
Teach me to reach out to You in my need.
Help me to lead others to You by my example.
Most loving Heart of Jesus,
bring me health in body and spirit
so that I may serve You with all my strength.
Touch gently this life which You have created.

Thank You

Thank you for that beautiful powerful prayer. I am going to have the stem cell transplant now. I have prayed about it and talked to my first oncologist who recommended it. I feel like a great burden has been lifted from me. I am excited to get this done now and get better. He says I have a 50% chance that all of my cancer cells, B-cells and follicular cells, will be killed and never return again. He expects me to do very well. God has given me a faith and a great peace that this is the right thing to do at this time. I get started next week and expect to be home from the hospital early June. There is a lot of stuff to be done on an outpatient basis before hospitalization. I expect to be hospitalized the 2nd or 3rd week of May. You will be in great hands with the God and the Cancer Center of America. I hear they do great things. God Bless You. I will be praying for your healing.
