i Need Help With These 2 Chemo;s

My dad is 73. He has melanoma on his lungs and under his arm. 8 weeks ago, we started a clinical study, Paclitaxel/Carboplatin with Sorafenib. My dad is having what we believe a very bad side effect. He cannot walk or use his hands. We do not know what to do. The doctor does not seem to have any answers either. I need help. Has anyone ever been on these drugs or had these side effects? Please help if you can.
Thank You
