Herceptin For Ovarian Cancer

Has anyone ever been given Herceptin for ovarian cancer? I was orignally diagosed with fallopian tube cancer in 2001. My last CT scan showed some spots on my liver. My CA 125 is elevated, but below 35. I am having a PET scan tomorrow (if my insurance allows it) to see if the spots ara cysts or cancer. If it is cancer, this will by my third recurrence. My doctor mentioned the possibility of Herceptin.

how long have the remissions been between your reoccurances. Have you had good quality of life? What were your first two therapies?

Herceptin For Ovarian Cancer

My first recurrence was about 2 1/2 years after being diagnosed. My second, about 1 1/2 years later. Now, seven months (finished my treatment in August). First treatment was taxol and cisplatin (a few days after surgery). Second treatment was taxetere and carboplatin for four treatments and then carboplatin only for four more rounds (I was too sick from treatment to treatment to continue both, but didn't know I had hypothyroidism, too). My last treatment was carboplatin only which ended this past August. I have been very sick during treatments, but bounce back well when it ends and have had a good quality of life.
