New to This Support Board

Hi,I have read some of the posts. Well i was dx in Feb 1999 with stage 3 ovarian cancer, i am on my 7 reoccurrence, i dont think theres a chemo that i havent been on, oh i take that back there is a couple i think. Right now im on Etoposide, thats a pill 1x a day, it seems to be helping.
The cancer had gone to left humureus in left arm had radiaition 2 different times on that arm.So when Dr says ovarian doesnt go to bone, it does.
Right now i have 3 spots in my lungs.I have a few side effects...wierd ones. I do also go to another ovarian cancer support board. I admire each and everyone of you ladies, wish they would find a cure for this damn disease.....Thought i would stop by and say Hi, prayers to everyone.
Hugs Lori

Looking For Help

Hi Lori,

My mom was diagnosed with Stage 3A ovarian cancer in November 2004. It was a shock, as I'm sure it is for every family, when she was diagnosed. She had a full surgery, chemotherapy, she had a good prognosis, and everything was going well but now they believe her cancer has reoccurred as her CA is extremely high and they have found abnormal nodules in her abdomen. We found out next Wednesday after her CT biopsy the results and if she has to begin treatment again.

Any ideas, tips, things that could help my mom as we deal with the good possibility of a reoccurrence?

I am proud of you and battling this horrible disease and not giving up - you sound like my mom.
