Carcinoma in Situ

Hi ti all and hope that everyone is doing fine. My dad has been diagnosed with carcinoma in situ a form of bladder cancer? Can anyone give me some information of this type of cancer ? In february my dad had 25% of his lung removed due to lung cancer and has a weak heart. The doctors recommend the BCG therapy I am wondering how bad the symptoms can be on the body? Very confused and would greatly apprciate any info anyone has to give Bless you all thanks

Cis

Cis is superficial in nature. unlike tcc is stays on the first layer of the bladder. it is considered invasive if it gets even to the lamina propria unlike tcc. my dad had this and they opted for a radical cycteomly because he did not respond to the bcg like many do. just be careful if the bcg doenst work to consider a more cautouis approach. once its gone deeper the survival is much less. bcg didnt have much side effects for dad other than some buring.
