pc

PC continies to have a poor prognosis due to most cases being diagnosed too late. New treatments may add a few weeks or months but the overall survival hasnt changed much. Gemzar has been the newest drug which has shown promise and is now approved for use in PC. The next trick is to find different drugs to combine with Gemzar that will improve survival. Tarceva and Xeloda have shown some promise in that combination. In addition a PC vaccine has been developed and shows promise as does the use of HIFU (high intensity focused ultrasound).
