His doctor prescribed Prozac (initially 20 mg/day and now 40 mg/day) to help offset any symptoms of depression. It has been a help. If Prozac isn't an option, there are a number of newer anti-depressants that could be considered. Talk with the medical oncologist or someone who specialized in mental health care to see what might be best. Take care. Rondi caring daughter Wed, 10 May 2006 00:00:00 GMT Hi there, My husband was diagnosed on April 13th with glioblastoma IV, and withing a week, he went on Lexapro (doctor chose that one because it is fast acting). It has worked beautifully, and has not had a bad interaction with any other meds...temador, decadron, keppra, etc., etc. As a matter fact, I'm on it as well.
