I was treated with arimidex and zomeda, from November through February. I have also been given lupron shots, sice I wasn't menopausal enough. Recent bone scan and blood test show that the cancer is continuing to progress. Have been switched to femara, but my understanding is that arimidex and femera are practically the same. I would like to know if anyone has had better results with femera after arimidex. They will be checking blood again on March 25th, so I am wondering what is likely to be next if the femera isn't working. Thanks, and keep on surviving!! Andrea D. Mon, 17 Mar 2003 00:00:00 GMT I also have mets to the bones and liver. I have been taking Arimidex since Jan. 2003 and will be tested today to see if it's working. It's my understanding that they like to try each of these meds to see which one works, if any. If not, it would be my guess they will try some chemo (that's what I've been told). I was on Tamoxifin for two years and that worked for a while, then didn't. Now Arimidex, which is another same-type of drug and there are a couple of others. Best of luck and keep on surviving! Mon, 17 Mar 2003 00:00:00 GMT After 3yrs Tamoxifen, 2yrs Arimidex, I have suffered dreadful (SWIMS) ? not sweats, I am offered seats in shops, and have tried all prescribed help nothing seems to help at preasant  Megace, dont really know what to try next annual check up July  spoke to fellow patient  she was given Femera, Dont know if I could put up with another 2years of Sweats any opinion grateful?
