So many different therapies - how to choose?

I've been reading this message board for the last couple of days trying to get some insight on alternative therapies. I've read about Essiac, Coral Calcium, Enzymatic Therapy IP-6, etc. How does one choose the right therapy, or do you just try it all??

I have ovarian cancer staged 3C diagnosed in June 2000. Had initial surgery with complete hysterectomy and received chemo only (taxol/carboplatin). I've had 3 recurrences since then and have still benefited from the chemo, but now am having some serious abdominal pain with swelling.

It's been 4 months since my last chemo and my Dr. wants me to wait a month or two before doing the chemo again because he is afraid that it is too soon since my last treatment, and concerned that my body will become resistant. I am worried that the cancer is spreading and not sure if I should wait, so I'm looking for alternatives...

RE: So many different therapies - how to choose?

My husband has prostate cancer which spread to lymph node and he suggested before you start anything to first get a 30 blood test profile t-cell count to find out level of white blood count, electrolyte test to find out deficiency in immune system and alkaline test to find out acidity imbalance. Once you get results you should approach your Dr or nutritionist who can decide from the results what would be the best solution. Ask your Dr what patterns does he/she see with the test results. He recommended a very good testing center here in Ft. Lauderdale but I do not know where you live and he also recommended a wonderful nutritionist in the same area. I am going to check it out and will let you know. Hope this helps and God Bless!

You might want to look into MGN3 and/or The Burzynski Clinic.

Coral Calcium

HI,
Most coral calcium are not ground fine enough to do you much good. be careful of which one you get.
I would try a variety of things. I don't know how much essiac is but have heard good things about it. Enzyems are like the coral calcium. Please read and study.
I use Young living enzymes and liver cleanse. with their coral calcium.
 Keep studying.
Another book to read is Nurition Prescrition for nutritional healing by Bach and bach.
The ideas as I udnerstand it is to build the system up so it can defeat the rampant cells of cancer.
