Hoxsey Treatment

I have several friends that have been diagnosed with various types of cancer who went to the BioMedical Center in Tijuana for treatment. They've all returned cancer free. The people that I personally know are one stomach cancer (cancer free for 50 years), one lung cancer (cancer free for 20 years), one bone cancer (cancer free for around 5-6 years) and one skin cancer (cancer free for 3 years), and my friend with skin cancer met a lady on the bus going to the clinic that was a nurse...she said that her cancer had spread somewhere in the neck area, I forget exactly where it spread and what type of cancer that she had. Anyway, she said that doctors in the states had given up on her 4 years ago and had told her to get her affairs in order. She started treatment at the Hoxsey clinic and 4 years later she was on that bus telling her story.

If you read up on the Hoxsey treatment, I've found a wide variety of what their "success rate" is. I've found anywhere from "little to no evidence" to 85% success rate. I was told that they once had 13 clinics in the states that were all shut down and that they had a 75% success rate when they were here.

I'd like to hear from people who either are on the Hoxsey Treatment themselves, or who knows someone that was on the Hoxsey treatment. I'm not interested in any of the other treatment facilities in Tijuana, Mexico. Just the Hoxsey treatment... Anyone have any stories...good or bad?

Hoxsey

I would like more info about this treatment from someone who has actually received it. While I am very open to alternative treatment--my father has been receiving this for almost 2 years--I am not familiar with the Hoxsey treatment or the Biomedical clinic and need more info in order to make a good decision as to whether it would be something we need to look into. Please respond to this if you have personally received this treatment or personally know someone who has.

Thanks for your help. Lorri

Hoxsey Treatment

My father was on the Hoxsey treatment, but only for about a month. In that months time, he felt and looked wonderful. He tolerated Chemo MUCH better and after being on the Hoxsey tonic for only a little over a week, he no longer felt pain from the cancer growing. Prior to being on the Hoxsey treatment, he felt pain in his liver almost constantly. We all know that you feel pain when the cancer is growing. The pain went away completely. Unfortunately, he has a stroke and has spiraled downhill since then. There are no signs of the cancer growing, but he's now battling pneumonia. He got pneumonia from aspiration of liquids into the lungs from not being able to swallow properly after his 2nd stroke.

I can't say what would've happened long term if he was able to stay on the Hoxsey treatment. But, if I'm ever able to get him back on this treatment, I believe he has a much better shot of beating cancer on this treatment than with chemo or any other treatment. We've already experienced that route and if I had it to do over again, I would've never let him go through chemo.

Michelle, Thank you so much for your response. I am sorry about your dad's stroke. It is so much better to hear from someone who has actually been through a procedure rather than read stats, etc. from impersonal articles. Did your father actually go to the clinic in Mexico? If so, how did that go? How long were you there?

Again, I appreciate so much your responding to my inquiry. We are seriously considering this procedure. I hope that your dad will receover from his stroke and his cancer. It has been really hard for me to see my dad suffer, but we are still hopeful and continue to have faith that God will heal him. While I don't know your dad's name, God knows who he is and I will say a prayer for him and for you. Take care. Lorri

Mexico

We all went to the clinic. We stayed at a hotel in San Ysidro, CA, and that hotel has a shuttle bus that brings you right to the cancer hospital in Tijuana. If you don't have current bloodwork, they do all that there. You should bring all your records. They meet with you initially in the morning, I guess around 9-10am, then take a few hours to consult with 5-6 other doctors/specialist which are all on property. In this time, you go eat breakfast, which is right next to the clinic. Afterwards, you walk back and they call you back into the room and tell you what their findings are. They give you a small packet that states what meds you will start on and it draws out a very specific diet. The shuttle bus, then drives you both to the pharmacy and to a local herb shop where they have your meds ready for you. When you cross the US border again, you tell them it's vitamins. You're supposed to go back in 3 months initially, then 6 months after that. I met a few people there that were there for their 3 month and 9 months check up. The doctors did bloodwork on them and were able to tell them exactly what they'd been eating and how they'd cheated on the diet plan. It was actually kind of amazing. You can't cheat the diet, they will know. Everyone I met there said how wonderful they felt after starting on the tonic and the other herbs/meds.

As I stated before, I'm not sure about long term success as far as my father goes because he had 2 strokes and was unable to stay on the meds. They're talking about putting a PEG tube in for feeding and if they do that, we plan to get him back on the mexico regimin ASAP.

Any other questions? I'd be glad to answer any questions you have.

ANd, on top of all that, the treatment only costs $3500.00, plus I think $900.00 for bloodwork if you don't have your own. And, this is for a lifetime treatment. This is truly a facility that cares about people, not money.

A few more questions. What kind of medicine, etc did your dad receive? Is it supplements? If so, would you mind just giving the names of a few? Was he put on a special diet? Does everyone get the same treatment?

I asked about the supplements because my dad is already on a biological treatment which includes several different supplements to include CoQ10, Grape seed extract, Selenium, Pro Boost, DHEA, Pregnenolone (sp), Matake D Fraction, Zyflamend, E 1000 I.U. pure d1-Alpha, Vit A, etc. I just wonder if what they do at the clinic is similar to what my dad is now receving.

Again, I am just needing as much info as possible to see if it would be worth going to the clinic. You are right--the price is certainly more than reasonable. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Thanks again for your input. I hope your dad will soon be back on the treatment since you believed it was helping him. I will say another prayer for him and for you, his daughter.

Hoxsey

One is the Hoxsey tonic which is a variety or different herbs and roots. They mix that up there. They also gave him Yew tips which is the natural form of taxol which is a chemotherapy drug. They gave 2 things that I've never heard of called Artemisinin and Livlife. They also put him on Ester C and Calcium. The regimin is not the same for everyone. They vary what you'll take depending on the type of cancer and where it has spread.

The diet is very similar to all the other detox diets, but no tomatoes, vinegar, pork, or alcohol. No peanuts, no peanut butter, sugar, refined or processed ANYTHING. No microwaved food, no preservatives, nothing in a can. Lots of fresh fruits and veggies. No aged cheese. It spells it all out for you in this packet that they give you. That's very briefly what the diet consists of. It's more complex than that though. They tell you how many times a week you can eat certain meats, or fish. You'll never really be able to eat out on this diet. And, it's very hard to find a bread that doesn't contain vinegar, or a form of vinegar. We had to bake our own.

Hoxsey Clinic

I have a friend who had a melanoma on her arm and the doctors wanted to take all the flesh off her arm from the shoulder to the wrist. She went to the Hoxsey clinic in 1974. At that time the life time treatment was only $600 dollars. She had to give up: white flour, white sugar, table salt, vinegar, alcohol, carbonation, pork, and tomatoes. She is 73 years old today and still cancer free. She still goes down every two or three years. The clinic was started by Dr. Hoxsey in Texas and after fighting the FDA and AMA he gave up and his nurse Mildred Nelson went to Tiajuana and started the clinic. The cost now is $3500.00 but you only have to come up with 1/3 in the beginning. They have a web site at: www.cancure.org/hoxsey_clinic.html

They do have a high cure rate. If my cancer ever comes back, I will be going to the Hoxsey clinic......Good Luck and God Bless you. Jackie

I hope your father is doing well. I hope you are doing well also. Being a caretaker and watching a loved one in paid is excruciating as I've discovered since I've become the caretaker of an ex boyfriend. He is stage IV rectal cancer and it has spread everywhere. His liver is inflamed and I'm hoping the Hoxsey tonic can help with that like it did with your father. We took a tour last month, when he was feeling a lot stronger, and I was intrigued by the Hoxsey center. I'm considering purchasing the tonic to give to my friend. He's been told he has two months so I don't think he has anything to lose. He's too sick to be accepted in the other expensive clinics so this is probably his only hope. Hope it works...

After hearing that an older relative had breast cancer and went to the Hoxsey clinic she gave it a shot. 18 years later she's healthy and has had the chance to see all 3 of her daughters get married and have children, something doctors told her she'd never see. I tell everyone about the Hoxsey clinic, I'm a firm believer in it and I've seen it work. If you know anyone with Cancer tell them to give it a shot. I just checked on it a couple of weeks ago, and it costs about $3500. You stay in a hotel in San Diego and take a bus from the hotel to the clinic. You stay just one day. If the patient is too ill to travel a friend or relative can take their records and get the "tonic" for them. I'm telling you, it's good stuff!! Saved tons of people. But you have to follow the diet they give you too. Thats a big part of... but who doesnt need to go on a healthy diet anyway. Good luck!!Becky

Hoxsey Treatment

Hi, I've been to the biomedical center just yesterday. Took my dad who has lung cancer. They gave us the tonic and a whole lot of supplements and vitamins. The other important aspect is that you get to meet people and hear their stories - it's like your own personal support group there and then. Everybody was so friendly and nice, it made us both feel much better... It took us 26 hours of travel to get here because we live in a small island in the mediterranean but if it's going to help my father get better, it's all well worth it. We came because other people from our country told us about it; people who came and are still around to tell the story, even after their doctor's grim prognoses that wanted them dead years ago..I'm getting a bit stressed out about the diet and how I'll be able to keep it without letting anything harmful slip in. So please if you do have recommendations and recipies, post them up and share them with us "newbies" :-) When we're ready, we'll post our own...Oh, one more thing... If you're going to decide on ANY treatment, do it as soon as you can, don't drag it. Cancer is not a joke, it's like your house is on fire. Every single day counts. Please pray for us... that's another thing that countsTake care

My mom was diagnosed with Mestatic Colon cancer November 2006. We went through the standard 5fu, CPT11, luecavorin regiment until March during which time she almost died twice (from the chemo, not the cancer). She was one in 10,000 who couldn't tolerate the CPT11, which was regretful, because it seemed to be the only part of the regiment that was bring her numbers down.In March, as a family, we decided to take her to Mexico to the Hoxsey clinic and completely abandon her chemotherapy. Her doctor's all thought we were completely foolish, even though it was obvious to us all the the chemo wasn't doing any good. The doctors in Mexico put Mom on a strict diet (tolerable however), and gave her a hoxsey tonic. In June she also had a very successful liver resection (the one place the cancer had spread to after the colon was her liver). By late August Mom's CEA level is down to 4.3. We are amazed. Not only by her falling CEA, but also by how healthy she is. The chemo tore her down. It was agonizing for all her kids to see her suffer to horribly. It is awesome to see her able to do what she wants to and be back to herself again.I would recommend the hoxsey clinic to anyone who is dealing with cancer. It isn't a sure thing (as the doctor's down there told us also), but neither is chemo.

Anyone have any stories...good or bad?I have just been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. My first meeting with the oncologist is this week. How can I find people who have used the Hoxsey treatment for pancreatic cancer? I am so short on time, unfortunately. I have a friend that was diagnosed with 4 brain tumors several years ago. About 18 years ago she was given 2 months to live.

I am wondering...is there anybody posting here who has actually use the Hoxsey tonic for cancer treatment either with or without chemo? I am reading the book your first link references by Kenny Ausubel, and I cannot find anybody who speaks against this treatment.

There apparently is no other Hoxsey clinic in the world. There were several in the US, but they were closed down. One of my business acquaintances told me about how his grandmother was cured of jaw cancer in a clinic in the US in the 1940's. He described what the regular doctors were going to do, that she went to the Hoxsey clinic, how the topical Hoxsey treatment was applied, and that one day the cancer just fell out; she lived for many years after that. That and all other clinics in the states have been closed under pressure from the AMA. You would need to go to Mexico now for the treatment, thanks to our localmedical systems. I've been there, been on the treatment and am alive and well.

Hi Ronald689 from another Canuck who has been returned to good health using only alternative protocols. I am so glad you posted this message since it is more evidence that there are indeed cancers being cured by natural medicine and I hope that inspires others do their own research before just accepting the status quo. In case you missed it here is a message I posted recently about some other Canadian successes. You'll have to scroll down a bit on page 1.http://www.cancercompass.com/message-board/message/all,26762
I'm sure you already know this history but for others who might be interested here's just one link to some information on the background on Hoxsey and the persecution and suppression that has been taking place for many years regarding alternative treatments.

Now, according to my doctor, I never did have cancer, because, as he nervously and delicately says, my condition did not progress as expected, I lived and didn't die. So I must not have ever had it. I do know though what the doctors did tell me in the start, and that thier story did change when I got better. That doesn't matter to me. I know how sick I was, and where I was going if I didn't do something else. I am very thankful that I am well now. So, it doesn't matter what the doctor thinks. Others can choose for themselves to go the conventional route if they wish. I've seen a few of them die, including some close family members. I'm alive, and I doubt that I would be alive today if I wouldn't have done what I did. You decide for yourself, like I did. Live or die, you decide.

Bio-Medical Center (Hoxsey Clinic) Since 1963, this clinic has provided Hoxsey therapy. It was one of the first alternative cancer facilities in Mexico. Mildred Nelson, who was Harry Hoxsey's chief nurse at the Hoxsey Clinic in Dallas until he left clinical practice, carried on the therapy in Mexico until her death in 1999. Her sister now runs the clinic. The clinic was closed for 6 weeks around March 2000 by Mexican medical authorities, but it was allowed to reopen. They are being monitored by local health department officials. It is not as expensive as many therapies - it costs only $3500 for the therapy no matter how long it takes, with 30% due at the first appointment. There are several books and videos available on Hoxsey. Go to our books, audios, and videos page to see titles we recommend about Hoxsey. In addition to the Hoxsey treatment, comprised of a liquid elixir containing a mixture of herbs and several topical salves, the clinic may also use other supplements, diet, nutrition, and chelation therapy. They treat most types of malignancies, but it is said to be especially effective with skin cancer (including melanoma), breast cancer, and has been successful with some recurrent cancers and even with patients who've had radiation and/or chemotherapy. Often what people will do is combine Hoxsey treatment with other approaches, like laetrile. For a write up on the clinic, go to http://naturalhealthline.com/newsletter/01feb00/nelson.htm. Contact information:Bio-Medical center 615 General Ferreira, Colonia JuarezTijuana, B.C.
Harry Hoxsey was my great uncle and John Hoxsey the originator of the formulas was my great, great grandfather. I am not a part of Bio Medical Clinic, but I have been there several times and know Liz Jonas, the director, and the doctors well. They are a wonderful group of people who have dedicated themselves to helping cancer patients from all over the world. Being an herbalist, I have researched the herbs used in the Hoxsey tonic and pastes and they have a rich history of healing and restoring the body to health and wholeness. I, too, have had cancer--breast (in remission for five years) and currently skin cancer under my eye. I am treating it with the Hoxsey tonic and have had the paste applied to the cancerous area under my eye and it is responding very well. There is no doubt in my mind that my eye will be healed after my next application of the Hoxsey paste at the clinic. The doctors at the clinic have a vast resource of knowledge about cancer and are so helpful and caring. They are very learned in the medical field and can be trusted to help each person through thier personal crisis with the disease. Talking with them and other patients at the clinic is a wonderful emotional support as well. I would love to talk with any of you, if you have any questions concerning the clinic or the herbs used in the Hoxsey protocol send me an email or respond to this post. I will be traveling to the clinic in two days and will return next week. I am anxious to see everyone there once again.
