Pontine Glioma, a New Surgery Coming

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if any the parents out there that have children with Pontine Glioma can tell me if any of their children had this procedure done. The doctor's at All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg want to put in a medicail port. The port is an type of IV going directly into the blood line and just under the skin close to the heart. The doctor's say it is better for Hannah to have it done, this way when she needs to give blood, have transfusions, or other medicail test done she will not have to be stick each time. I was wondering how your kids are doing with it and what limitations do they have with it? Please let me know...
