We heard about if from a man of 45 years of age who had just about died from chemotherapy. He quit chemo and went on a organic healthy diet and drinks essaic tea 1oz. 2 times a day. He had colon cancer and tumors on outside of lung and I believe his kidney. He is totally cancer and tumor free. It cant hurt to try. My husband is 38 and has a brain tumor. We are giving it a try. I've been doing a combination of homeopathy and naturopathy in massachusetts. more is available at www.osteosarcomasupport.org homeopathy with the method from the book a homeopathic approach to cancer by c. coulter and dr. ramakrishnan is very helpful. overall, protolytic enzymes and bromelain and curcumin are markedly effective. things like ellagic acid may lower serum vegf levels if you test. increasing nk cells, macrophages, b cells, and others requires testing from immunosciences which is on the webpage. mushroom extracts are expensive and should only be purchased from jhs. also immunokino ahcc may belp nk cells, but might not. j. moses Jm4310 Thu, 22 Jun 2006 00:00:00 GMT Hi Meredith, a friend of ours gave us Essiac Tea but we were not sure whether we should use it. Some of the websites I found have mentioned that Essiac can cause problems and even if not used properly can cause colon cancer. My husband has endured five cycles of chemo and does not want anymore treatments. We are wanting to try another approach. How much did you take and did you drink it on an empty stomach. I also read that you can become nauseous if you take it with food. We will most likely use it but I thought I would ask your opinion on proper way of using it. Thanks for your help. The dr's told him that it was inoperable because it was like a octypus entangled in brain tissue. He did the 6 weeks of radiation inconjunction with chemo every day. He is continuing to do the stronger chemo 5 days of the month. But, the dr's also said that they do not intent to shrink or dissolve the tumor. Only kill the cells so that it could not/would not reproduce. My husband started drinking Essiac Tea in December. He has not had near the side effects from the chemo, his energy has increased tremendously and the tumor has shrunk over half the size it was before. We decided to go ahead and continue with the chemo and the tea because the tea will also help to repair any good cells that the chemo begins to damage. To be honest with you, I don't know if its the tea or the chemo that has helped my husband but its like he has a completly new outlook on life now. He swears by the tea and is convinced that his next MRI in Dec. he will be tumor free! He read anything and everything he could about the tea. He has found a website where we buy the powdered tea in bulk form and it is cheaper than buying thru a health food store. It has become a family event to go in the kitchen every 2-3 weeks and mix up some tea for him. A couple of months ago the cancer started to invade his bones. I started looking for something, anything that might work. I found the bulk tea eight herb essiac. This is said to be the best the eight vs the four herb. He has been drinking it for about eight weeks now. He has been on chemo for the last seven weeks. He has little side effects from the chemo. He had other little aches and pain that have just disappeared. He has lots more energy. His hair started to fall out after the first chemo treatment. He shaved his head so it would not be patchy. He has hair already and it is not falling out. His doctor is amazed that he is not having but very little side effects from the chemo. After reseaching extensively I decided not to go thru the procedures that would have diagnosed what it was, because of the possible complications just from this. I then decided to try some alternatives for about 3 months before doing anything conventional. I used Essiac Tea, Flaxseed Oil with cottage cheese, graviola, selenium, Sams formula, and others! During this 3 months trial I lost some weight, coughed up gristle like stuff from my lungs, and detoxed good! I them quit taking everyting except the Flaxseed Oil & cottage cheese which I still have for breakfast every morning. And, it is now almost 6 months and am doing ok as far as I can tell. Have also had extensive tests for almost anything that you can think of including the AMAS blood test, twice, for cancer, and nothing shows up as unusual. Reaseach and use these things as you are supposed to and probebly you will have postive results! Use your search engine to find Beckwith, Budwig, Henderson and others and read. This will give hope somethimes where no hope is, because it has worked and been attributed to cures many 1000's of times. But you have to use them!And, don't forget prayer! I understand your confused mind and even the panicky feelings that you have at a time like this. The Essiac Tea should be bought from a health food store. Buy the herbs, already prepared, and follow the instructions on boiling them to make the tea and storing it. DO NOT purchase the already made tea. The FlaxSeed Oil w/lignans should also be purchased from a health food store, and must be kept in a refrigerated unit, at the store and at home. NEVER purchase the oil off a shelf, and never use capsules or other forms of it. It must be shaken extremely well before use. To start I used 2 tablespoons full of it on about 5 or 6 teaspoons of cottage cheese and mix in the bowl well. I use it like this but if you want to you can add some fruit such as pineapple, strwberries, blueberries, etc. And, yes, you must use cottage cheese only. Use this 2 times a day, on an empty stomach and allow at least two hours before ingesting anything else. The Essiac Tea should be started with 1/2 ounce and worked up to 2 or 3 ounces 2 or 3 times dailey, as it can be tolerated. It is kind of nasty tasting and not mixed with anything else. Also take it on an empty stomach and allow an hour before ingesting anything else. Use your search engine for this and you will find lot's of reference's to it That will help you with it. Also, using your search engine, search for The Beckwith Family, JoHanna Budwig, Alternative treatments for Cancer, etc., and you will find lot's of help. But be careful, lot's of this stuff is pure crap. You will be able after you do enough seaching to smell out the good stuff. Also eliminate bread and any thing made with white flour. There is another product made by a lady by the name of Dee Simmons that in my mind is very good, and might even be better than Dr Day's. It is all organic and processed in a manner that doesn't destroy the enzymes. Don't hesitate, get the Essiac Tea herbs somewhere and use them. I bought the essiac tea and the flax oil for my Brother. I have a question about how you schedule your tea and also the cottage cheese with the flax? The tea calls for a one hour wait after drinking it before you comsume any other food and the cottage cheese with flax requires a 2 hour wait before you take the flax and cottage cheese, and one hour wait after you consume the mixture. My Brother is becoming really hungry because he can not eat more than twice a day with the way he is supposed to take the tea and the cottage cheese/flax mixture. Do you have any suggestions? Can he drink the tea at the same time he consumes the cottage cheese and Flax? How do you manage this? Thanks for any help you can give me. He said he feels better already since starting this. I took the Essiac Tea first thing in the morning, at noon and last thing at night. Did this for three months. Also, took the FlaxOil and cottage cheese 1 hour after taking the Essiac Tea, 2 times a day, and also did this for 3 months. In addition with a meal a day, I took Graviola,Selenium,Vitamin C (2000mg),Magnesium,Potassium,as well as a good multiVitamin called Ultimate Advantage recommended by Dr Douglas. After 3 months I had seen such improvement that I went on a maintence dose of FlaxOil & CC of just one bowl in the morning and quit the Essiac Tea.That is still what I am doing.Yes, your brother will get hungry which if he is like I was will help him, not hurt him. I lost almost 40 pounds which was good for me. Do Not drink the tea with the FlaxOil&CC. The one good meal a day with the other will be enough. All of this is of course if he doesn't have any other health problems that this would aggravate. I also am fighting High Blood Pressure and had to work the medication for that in too. The best thing that you could do is to find a good alternative Dr or at least an intergrated Dr to work with you on this. I have one and do I appreciate him. My son has been fighting Renal Cell Cancer since last Nov. and they keep giving him CHemo.He had his right kidney removed in Nov.of 2005. The cancer has metastisized to his lung and shoulders. It helps so much with the side effects from the chemo. He feels like it is really helping him. He has prostate cancer that has spread to his bones. His side hurt him so bad before the essiac. He said it was like someone had a knife digging it around. This pain has gone away. His lower back is still bothering him but it gets better and better. His numbers are also going down. A friend of ours gets his from Iherb.com. He makes up the batches one at a time. He also only uses amber jars to store it in. I get mine for my mom from Lillium threshold in Amherst, Wisconsin. He was given 6 months to live with liver cancer. He is now at almost 3 years! Doing well, but he does this religiously. I also got her Astragalus root (small) and make a tea with 16 oz water each day. When she is fatigued, she sucks on the raw herb for energy. It really helps. Also, I got her miso paste. it has to be the refrigerated kind only. She drinks a cup in the AM and in the PM. It is an excellent detoxifier. The Japanese used it after the bomb was dropped, and again it was used in Chernobyl. One teaspoon in a much water as you want to drink. I usually give her a cup. I also got her Inositol/IP-6, cell forte. Very excellent for the immune system. Hope this helps. The Astragalus root I get from Lillim threshhold in, I also get her green food from Alice there as well. She is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. My dad was diagnosed in April with Stage four Lymphoma (mantle cell), which the doctor said typcially doesn't respond well to treatment. He began taking Essiac a week or two before beginning chemo treatments. He tolerated the strong chemo treatments very well (he had a total of 8) and continued taking the tea throughout. He had his last chemo treatment in September and had some testing done in December. Two weeks before Christmas, we went in to get his test resuts and the doctor said, "there is no evidence of cancer from your scans. That doesn't mean it won't return, but right now it not showing up anywhere. Your lymph nodes show no cancer and your spleen is back to normal size." My dad is feeling great and will have to have follow up scans every three months for a while. We and our friends have all been praying faithfully. We feel that a combination of prayer, the tea and the chemo has helped cure my dad. He strongly believes in the tea and thinks it helped him tolerate the chemo so well. Although he lost his hair, he hardly got sick at all with it. I strongly encourage you to give the tea a try. Jenneke.T Jenneke Tue, 16 Jan 2007 00:00:00 GMT My husband is 48 and we have two lovely children aged 16 and 14 a girl and boy.  My hubby was diagnosed with colon cancer in February 2007.  He underwent major surgery in March, then underwent 8 weekly chemotherapy sessions which was very hard but he done fantastic so strong fighting all the way, keeping fit and active.  It was then stopped because there was a chance that another operation might be able to remove secondary cancer that had unfortunately spread to his liver.  The operation did not go ahead as expected because more lesions spread all around his liver were found.  These being small so they were not picked up on any previous mri scans only when in surgery could they be detected to have gone ahead would be unsafe and my hubby could have died in the operating theatre of liver failure.  Then while in the liver hospital we mentioned about the bleeding which never really stopped since the first operation in March (we were told previously not to be worried it was quite normal after his first operation).  A colonoscopy was carried out, where a suspect polop was confirmed malignant.  A later scan found a 'sizable tumor' as the specalist put it in the rectum which must have stated growing while under chemo and not detected because the chemo was working on the liver giving encouraging results shrinking the three tumors which at that time made surgery to the liver for resection a distinct possibilty.  To date he is undergoing radiotherapy once a week, to shrink the sizeable painful tumor.  His 5th radiotherapy is this Friday then 1 more to go.  As you can imagine he is in a lot of pain which is slightly eased by pain killers.  After his 6th radiotheraphy he is back to the chemotheraphy to continue his treatment which was cut short because of the expected liver resection.  We have been so positive all the way along, we have to be, we have no choice, we are just trying so hard to be normal as we can.  To top it all the pilot light on the heating boiler has blown out so we have had part-time heating and part-time hot water etc its on at the moment.  The heating engineer expects the part in the new year so that can then be sorted.  My husband has been able to carry out a little work since his diagnosis believing it is better to keep fit and healthy, he has been self employed for 15 years.  His appetite has suffered and of recent he has lost more weight going down to 10 stone from 11 stone 3 lbs which the doctor advised taking higher dosage of anti sickness and nausea tablets.  From yesterday I have added the following to his daily diet - noni juice, cranberry juice, carrot juice, flaxseed oil, Super Coenzyme Q-10 capsules also timed release B100 vitamin B complex tablets and grapeseed extracts and today drinking green tea.  All these extra vitamins and supplements please God will help get rid of this horrible disease and help him gain more weight.  I would also like him to take Essaic tea on a daily basis after reading all about Rene Ciasse and the positive results gained please could anyone help me to locate a supplier that could forward to me in the UK so I can give him as soon as possible and hopefully PG make him well again and get rid of this horrible disease.  I await a reply inanticipation.  Thank you Dolores xxxx      DHWPH Sun, 30 Dec 2007 00:00:00 GMT I read your inquiries about Essiac.
