Aml and Kidney Cancer

I am 42 yrs old. 3 years ago, I was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. treatment was chemotherapy, total body irradiation, followed by a MUD transplant. had an ultrasound looking for fatty liver. found a spot on right kidney. had ct scan and mri confirming cancer. i will have surgery to remove right kidney. just wondering if anyone out there has had both these diseases. is it possible that on pathology of kidney that they will find leukemia cells? i am very nervous about surgery. they will do it by laparoscopy. sounds easy enough. any info will help. thanks ahead of time!
