Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy

Has anyone had any experience with this treatment? Is it as hard as other radiation treatments and most of all did it work? How did you find out about it. Has it be availabe for long? The man I love died and he was never told about or offered any option but standard chemotherapy. I am wondering if this has been available for long and if all oncologists are aware of it?
