      <title>Would like to talk find out about types of communication after total voice box removed</title>
      <description>My father is having surgery and after surgery he will not be able to talk anymore; I need to find out about how he can communicate when someone calls his house and where to get the equipment and how much it costs.</description>

      <description>Hi, Shawana!  Contact ASHA--American Speech and Hearing Association.  There are speech therapists who specialize in voice therapy, and there are ways to teach your father to talk without his larynx. Hope this helps.  </description>

      <description>Hi my name is Linda My Dad on Dec.29,2007 Just had voice box and cords removed and what we do for now is let the answering machine get the phone and for him to communicate he writes things down we just have to becareful not to move on to different subjects to fast.and if he needs help he calls and has a hand bell and rings it into the phone.but sometimes he can say some words he is starting to teach himself how to talk again take care and god bless you and your family</description>
