After Surgery Treatment

4 wks. ago I had a Radial hysterectomy and Lymphadenectomy, due to serous cancer of the uterus. One lymph node is positive and the ohers are negative.
MD recommendation is vaginal cuff radiation x3 and adjuvant chemotherapy utilizing Taxol and Carboplatinum, x every 3 wks x 6 treatments.

Is this a commom treatment? should I consider alternative theray alone or along with Treatment of radiation and chemo.
