What is The Difference Between Essaic Tea and Flora Essence?

What is the difference between Essaic Tea and Flora Essence? I am taking Flora Essence 1/4 cup each morning with 1/4 c. water. I will take this FE and then go back to Wholly Immune powder drink made by an oncologist for 2 months and then back again to the FE. I beleive the FE is a mild detox. I have been on Arimidex-4 months- for breast cancer and having many side effects-joint pain, foot pain, aches all over, Weight gain too. My alternative Dr suggest i get off the arimidex and i am. He did a hormone test and will get the results back for my next appt. Has anyone taked DIM in replacement of Arimidex? This is what he suggest i take along with all my other supplements. I am vegan and mostly raw foods. My Breast Cancer was stage 1, HER2+, no nodes. in Dec. 2005 i had a partcial masectomy and radiation for 6 weeks. I elected to not take Chemo even though my oncologist didn't approve.

Essiac Tea 4 Herbs Vs. 8 Herbs

Hi, sorry you had to start drinking this stuff. I'm definitely NOT the expert on this but "the original genuine" (take with a grain of salt) Essiac Tea had 4 ingrediants Burdock, Sheep Sorrel, Slippery elm and Indian rhubarb, in specific proportions, Flora essence has 8 herbs. Flora essence along with several other websites selling similar products say the 8 herb product is the new and improved Essiac tea. The additional 4 herbs are also supposed to have anti-cancer properities and better address cancer(s) in general. Those sites selling the "original" 4 herb compound sell it with different proportions of the "original formula." Most claiming they have the exclusive right to sell the original propotion mix. I have no idea what the correct proportions are. I take tincture of ESSIAC Tea. 4 herbs, mostly because it's available in a local health food store. I take the tincture twice a day for another type of cancer.

Hello everyone, I am completely new to this site so please bear with me till I get used to how to work it. I have been given Essiac tea by a friend. At present I am taking Arimidex. My cancer was Grade 3 Stage 3 and I had chemotherapy (with endless side effects which still affect me two years later) and radiotherapy. I have been afraid to take the Essiac since I was told not to take Echinacea, Red Clover, Black Cohosh and Clarey sage as they would stop the Arimidex working. I do hope someone can reassure me re the Essiac tea as I NEED desperately to do something to feel I am stopping the cancer returning or spreadin. I was so interested to read your letters.

Hello RUGBY I have been using Essiac for almost four years now. In the beginning to help control and reverse my cancer and now just as maintenance. I use the original recipe from Rene Caisse. I will attach the recipe for making homemade here and also the website for nurse Caisse. (Follow the links for lots of information) Hopefully it will all post. If it is not clear and you would like more information re diet, supplements etc. that have worked for me and many others that I personally know you could send me a private message and I'll contact you that way.
Best regards Shemay

                                          ESSIAC TEA

YOU CAN PURCHASE THESE AMOUNTS AT THE BULK SECTION OF HEALTH FOOD STORE
This is enough powder mixture for many many batches. Each batch is approx. one gallon.

16oz powdered Sheep Sorrel
1 oz powdered Turkish rhubarb root
4 oz powdered Slippery Elm Bark
6 1/2 cups Burdock Root

Mix dry ingredients thoroughly.
Measure out desired amount of dry ingredients. (1/2 cup)
Pour proportionate amount of water into pot. (1 gallon)
Bring water to a rolling boil with the lid on.
Stir dry ingredients into boiling water.
Replace lid and continue boiling at reduced heat for 10 minutes.
Turn off stove. Scrape down sides of pot and stir mixture thoroughly.
Replace lid, let pot sit and cool undisturbed for 10-12 hours (overnight).
Reheat to steaming hot, but do not let it boil.
Turn off heat and allow herbs to settle for a few minutes.
Pour hot liquid gently and carefully so as not to disturb sediment through sieve
Use funnel to fill sterilized bottles, put lids on.
Allow bottles to cool, then tighten lids.
Refrigerate.

Dosage: Take one quarter cup of spring or bottled water and bring it to a boil in a glass or stainless steel pot. Gently tip the bottle of Essiac to mix and then add one quarter cup to the boiled water. Pour into glass cup and sip slowly. This should be taken first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and last thing at night before retiring.

Hello Shemay, I am sorry it has taken me so long to come back to you. I really was grateful for your help. Dad was diagnosed with terminal bowel cancer just after I wrote to you and with my own breast cancer, well things have been difficult.I am still looking after mum and dad and so time is precious. Please do you have the name and address of a supplier in England that sells the ORIGINAL tea of which you speak. I have gone onto the web sites but am aware that there may be extra additives in many of the products and people cashing in on our needs. Each supplier I read up on states they are concerned suppliers and in no way out to make 'a fast buck' but there are so many unscrupulous people.I hope you are keeping well and that the tea continues to make you feel enpowered that you are actually doing something to beat this damn disease .... it is this total lack of control that gets me down most. I look forward to your reply. Best wishes RUGBY

RE: Essiac Tea 4 Herbs Vs. 8 Herbs

Good morning from Canada RUGBY.....I must say you have a lot on your plate what with your own illness and your caring for your mom and dad with their health concerns. I am sorry to say I can't be of any help regarding a personally known ethical retail outlet in the UK where you can purchase the Essiac finished product. I have always made my own from scratch using the dry ingredients that I purchase at a trusted health food store. I understand why you would want to buy the finished product considering your time constraints but truly once you get used to the routine there really is very little time involved in preparing the gallon that the recipe I posted makes. That way you can feel confident as well in the content and the quality.
You are so right when you say the feelings of lack of control over this disease are what can really get one down but I have found out from my own experience that there are many steps we can take that allow us to feel totally empowered minute by minute, day by day. As we follow these steps (diet, supplements, exercise, visualizations, meditations etc.) and feel and see our health improving, sometimes slowly, sometimes by leaps and bounds, our confidence level rises and "knowing" we are on the right path gives us a very strong feeling of empowerment and trust in our own judgement.
I wish you much peace of mind and a return to good health for you and all you love in the year ahead. Let me know if I can be of help in any way.
