Recurrent Ewings Sarcoma

hi im katrina.
last year i had ewings sarcoma multi zoned. two tumors in my pevlis and one on my spine. i recived treatment chemo and radiothephy which worked great and my tumors disapeared. today i found out one of the tumors have returned and that i need chemo again. i dont think i could go through it again tho. does anyone know what my chances of living would be if i didnt have treatment? im only 21 and really dont want the treatment again. am i making the wrong choice? if the first lot of treatment removed it 4 a while then the cancer came back whats not to say that the same wont happen? i just cant live my life in a hospital and under so much stress what if???? am i doing the wrong thing????

Fight on

Katrina

Your exactly where my son (20 on 15/10) was in January 2005...he had been in remission for 11 months when his ES came back in the same place (well slighly below where the radio had been done) he took the 2nd lot of chem (different regime from the first time) he didn't have the same sickness or side effects in fact he attend college 3 days a week whilst having it ....2 days intro. & 2 oral to take at home, he than had further surgery to remove the 2 tumours & 1 month later another appeared in a different place. . had it removed and then had High Doze therapy with a stem cell transplant (his own harvested at the very beginning of his illness march 03) he then got 9 months in remission & its back again . . but again he is fighting it, he is fed up with it all but he will never give up fighting, ask your oncologist about the HDT & a transplant ....its not commonly done for ES, only 2 in Scotland for ES in 15 years & Ryan was the 2nd, OK his came back still but the girl before him has been in remission now for 3years (hers was on her tail bone) everyone is different you might be 1 of the lucky ones ....don't give up the fight ....the alternative is to die & your much to young for that....Ryan's on the 1st week of a 'trial drug' the medical profession have great hopes for it ....please please take the treatment & keep fighting

take care
