Incontinence With Sleeping Pills

Has anyone experienced incontinence (peeing in bed) with the use of Lunesta or Ambien? This happened to my mother twice: once at home with Lunest 2mg and once at the hospital with Ambien. She gets SO knocked out that she loses bladder control... are there any other things she can take? Is there a Tylenol PM-type thing she can take? One that eases you into sleep rather than knock you into a deeeeeep sleep??? Also note that she's NOT a prolonged user. She got Lunesta once and Ambien twice last week. Also, I would like to share with you WHY she's not sleeping. Her mind is racing. She's scared, has often said: "I hope we don't get anymore surprises", she has fears- I don't really think she's thinking of death, per se- but she's just anxious(we don't want anti-anxiety/anti-depressants). This is fairly news, it's been going on since the seizures two weeks ago. Look, she's not dumb, she knows what's going on, and she has every right to be worried, feel bad, be scared, etc. We are NOT gonna dis-validate (is that even a word??) her feelings! While we don't paint a gloomy picture of death and darkness, we're not gonna paint a rosey worry-free picture, either. We ARE gonna be positive, fight fight fight, make sure she knows we're getting her the BEST treatments and care possible, and that we're all in this with her. We don't wanna take away her 'bad days' because she has to go through those emotions and has every right to experience them. The reason we're SO worried when she doesn't sleep is because it affects her horribly! When she's tired, her mind goes. She slurs, can't walk, she's just too weak to even stand! We know that when she's rested, she's perfect! She's funny, animated, alert, and just all-around with it, yet when she's zonked, it's hell and she's just all over the place. Not to mention therapies! When she's exhausted it takes away from her basic functioning in PT and OT and it's just a waste of time because her mind isn't in it- plus it's dangerous because she can fall... what do you all think???
