Many doctors do not endorse the perfusion method. At the University of Pittsburgh - Cancer Institute -- Dr. David Bartlett has had 74% of his patients have a response to liver perfusion. It requires an extensive orpertaion using the drug Melphalan. Has anyone had this procedure or know of someone who has. Please let me know. Weadocm Mon, 06 Nov 2006 00:00:00 GMT I have met with Dr. Geller and Dr. Marsh at UPMC. They suggested the liver perfusion and were quite sold on it. I am still undecided about the clinical trial and the perfusion. Oncologist say the clinical trial and surgeons seem to favor the perfusion.
