Refusing Arimidex

Summer103, I have read your message, as well as, Amnia's message, and I have to agree with Amnia. I was diagnosed with breast cancer (stage I, none in lymph nodes but had 2 tumors in rt. breast - 1.5 c.m. and 1.8 cm.) in June, 2004. I had a lumpectomy, 6 mo. of chemo. and 31 radiation treatments. Then I started Arimidex. Yes - there are some side effects but as Amnia said, they are tolerable. At first the side effects were more pronouced (achy joints all over) but as time has gone by, those side effects have almost disappeared. I NEVER want to hear the word "cancer" in relationship to a recurrance and me. I know you will give this much thought and make the right decision. God bless you!!!
