Thymoma

I had a Stage 2A (microscopic sac invasion) thymoma, mixed cells, removed thorascopically in August. I have opted for watchful waiting instead of going right to full sternotomy to remove the thymus, surrounding tissue and pericardium. My PET scan shows slight stranding in the area where the thymoma was removed and will be repeated in February.

I also am in remission from DCIS ('03, lumpectomy, 33 rads) and invasive breast cancer ('05, mastectomy, 9 Taxol, 7 months Herceptin).

I'd like to hear from others with thymoma.
