Carcinoma in Situ

I recently had a prostrate test that showed
iregularities with carcinoma in the situ.
I have no idea what this is and am being sent to
see another doctor but can not get in until
december. In the mean time all I have been told
by my current doctor is that my blood counts
are off and I tested positive for HPV and that
my original prostrate test showed that I was positive. Any info would help.

Hi...

Just curious about how they tested you for HPV?
I did not think they had a test for that in men.My boyfriend had genital warts..now penile cancer..(read post below)...
I am going Tuesday for a pap test & HPV test,as the fact my boyfriend had warts, then cancer, there is a great chance I now have HPV which can lead to cervical cancer...not a pleasant thought. Both my parents died of cancer.Dad had prostate cancer 1996-2001.Mom cancer to her liver & we didnt know primary site,as it was only 3 weeks from time they found it in 2004.
I believe carcinoma in situ is pre-cancer,like me,a good possibility I will get it...to keep a close eye on it..
I did lots of online research for my dad that time.He had a rather normal almost 5 yrs,& dr told him, prostate is slow growing & most men will die with it & not even know if they live long enough.
My prayers & thoughts are withn you
Take care...Kathie
