Was free until about 2 years ago. I have had 4 operations 3 to remove melanoma from the nodes etc from under my left arm pit and part of my right kidney removed with renal cancer. I have just been informed that I now have a spot in my left lung which is about 1cm. an grown since my August CAT scan. Also I have a shadow on the wall of my right lung. I have a PET scan this friday 1/12/06 to determine what cancer it is, but oncologist lean toward the melanoma. If thats the situation, will be referred to Surgoens who will then decide if worth while operating as oncologist indicates that there is a 90% chance it will return. it appears all avenues are exhausted and I need to know if anyone has used successfully any alternative medicines. Geano Geano Mon, 27 Nov 2006 00:00:00 GMT Have your doc ck on Temodar - generic name Temozolomide as a treatment for stage of melanoma.Our doc has had good success with it in simular situations.Hope this can be an effecitve treatment for you.
