Good Luck to Lissa's Husband With Scan on The Dec. 5th

I've just read another email that you wrote Lissa and you said your husband is also just finishing his second cycle on Sutent. We are about at the same place with this drug, as I've just begun my third with first pill last night. Wishing him best of luck and I'm rooting for him all the way. I've also had my kidney removed, but that was in 2001. We have gone through similiar situations. Just think of me as "living on top of the world" these days as you live in Australia and I in Canada, but I'm really on top because of finding Sutent at the right time. I envy you now, as your weather is just beginning to get warmer as we are entering winter. Send warm winds our way and I send warm wishes to you. All the best and keep us posted of the results.

Ha Lisa I marked your date of Dec 5 on my calender and will think of your hubby all day. Only positive thoughts. Your hubby and Willard are a cycle ahead of us so I look for your good news to keep us going. Yes Willard is correct we are from Canada as well and pretty handly to Willard and we would LOVE warm breezes our way. My neice spent a month down under this summer and she couldn't say enough about how beautiful it was. Enjoy the heat as Willard's family and us prepare for SNOW. I don't know what the weather is like where Bunker is (he is in the USA) Wouldn't it be wonderful to all meet. We should call Bayer and get them to hook us up. Talk to you soon and let us know how things go. Mazzy

Lissa, you've got a great memory---I haven't talked about deep fried dill pickles or T-shirts for quite a while. I'll make you a deal for the "Sutent Tour". I'll design the T-shirts if you all will wear them. My wife would tell you that I have a warped sense of humor. We have a saying in the US--"buyer beware" which is kind of like---be carefiul what you wish for. Mazzy, we live in Minnesota which in the north central part of the US. Our winters are not a lot warmer than yours. In fact, we pretty much get the same temps---just a few days later. Sorry, but when the weather forecast calls for a Canadian clipper we're not too happy. Oh well, at least we are warm in spirit. It's needed---supposed to be 6 degrees tonight. Brrr. Lissa, good luck to you and Mel on your test results!!

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC (I couldn't resist using some of the new features plus I thought a bolded underlined message was appropriate)This is great and reminds me of the feeling that we first had after our first cycle. You expect the drug to work but it's nice to get the confirmation. For me, it also made the side effects of Sutent worth it. Congratulations and Merry Christmas!!

Great News!!!! I am so very happy for your husband!! Yes, it does seem that Sutent is making a difference for most patients and it's encouraging for many others out there who don't know which way to turn. Of course, it's not for everyone, but I can only speak personally as well for the good report I had a couple of weeks ago. Stay positive, keep the faith and yes, it is the best Christmas present that we will ever receive this year! I am experiencing some stomach trouble on my third cycle now, and last month my stomach was relatively good, but considering the results, I'm sure I can endure this...I'm almost half way through so I can do it. Once again, great news Lissa about your husband. Take care.Willard
