Painful Movable Lymph Nodes Along and Under Jaw Line

hello,

For a few years, I have felt painful , what I believe to be lymph nodes along my jaw line and underneath the jaw line. These nodes are moveable, and sometimes they move and get "stuck" and get stuck in a different position. When they are moved it gives a sharp stabing pain along the whole jaw. I also feel pain along my neck at times when I move my neck. This might sound strange as well, but when I move my head backwards, so as to create a "double-chin" it induces the same pain.

About a year ago , around may, I had a kindney infection that that an oncologist believed at first to be lobar nephroma ( spelling ?) it turned out my liver and kidneys were quite swollen and i was in the hospital for a few days, given kephalexin for antibiotics, and then was released.

They decided not to do any sort of biopsy on my chin or kidney problem. For my chin the doctor gave me some antibiotics and said it should go away. But it always comes back. My moms boyfriend, who sells pharmaceuticals insisted that it was just a cyst that needed to be drained, however, I have noticed more of these moveable, painful lymph nodes.

I have always had the fear of getting cancer. Sorry if I wrote to much but feel all this information is important, especially when all I have for you is description and symptoms.

It sounds like you need to get to an ENT. Get it checked so you can move forward.

RE: Painful Movable Lymph Nodes Along and Under Jaw Line

I had a swollen neck 4 yrs ago. I wnt to an ENT and had a "cist" drained. I was given some antibiotics and sent home. I had a FT scan done. I was told that it was just a cist. All of the swelling went down and I felt fine. Four years later, my neck swelled up again. Went back to the ENT. He tried to drain it. Nothing. He gave me some antibiotics again and the pain and swelling went away in a few days. Had a surgery to remove the cist. The 1 hr surgery turned into 3 and they told me they found sqaumous cell carcinoma in my tonsil. I took this CT scan to my Radiaolgy Dr. He looked at thus scan and he thinks I have had this for 4 years. The point is, go to a different ENT and get a second opinion. If these are cists in your neck, you still need to have them taken out. This is nothing to play with. My doctor has told me I am a very lucky man to still me alive.
