Painful Movable Lymph Nodes Along and Under Jaw Line

hello,

For a few years, I have felt painful , what I believe to be lymph nodes along my jaw line and underneath the jaw line. These nodes are moveable, and sometimes they move and get "stuck" and get stuck in a different position. When they are moved it gives a sharp stabing pain along the whole jaw. I also feel pain along my neck at times when I move my neck. This might sound strange as well, but when I move my head backwards, so as to create a "double-chin" it induces the same pain.

About a year ago , around may, I had a kindney infection that that an oncologist believed at first to be lobar nephroma ( spelling ?) it turned out my liver and kidneys were quite swollen and i was in the hospital for a few days, given kephalexin for antibiotics, and then was released.

They decided not to do any sort of biopsy on my chin or kidney problem. For my chin the doctor gave me some antibiotics and said it should go away. But it always comes back. My moms boyfriend, who sells pharmaceuticals insisted that it was just a cyst that needed to be drained, however, I have noticed more of these moveable, painful lymph nodes.

I have always had the fear of getting cancer. Sorry if I wrote to much but feel all this information is important, especially when all I have for you is description and symptoms.

Painful, moveable lymph nodes. Do yourself a big favor. Go back to your doctor and INSIST on an ultrasound AND biopsy. This whole scenario is insane. When lymphnodes swell and are painful, you need a diagnosis, not a guess from a your brother in law. Dont let your doctor send you away without a definitive DIAGNOSIS . Your doctor is jerking you around. Mention to him that you have patient responsibilities and he is obligated to work with you by either getting to the bottom of your problem or referrring you to a specialist. Be polite, but be firm. Bring your mother or some other responsible adult with you right into the examining room. Its your right and his responsibility to carry out his duty as your physician.Good Luck
