My mom is taking Temodar for her melanoma treatment. this is causing her to be constipated. Does anyone know of any over the counter or prescription to take with Temodar to manage the constipation? Thanks for helpful ideas.

Does her doc know? I would start with a mild approach like drinking plenty of fluids, eating a high fiber diet and getting gentle exercise. Sometimes you may need to take laxatives.

Thanks .. she is over the constipation now !! Great news!If this treatment proves positive on the tests on Jan 8 we will begin the process with some otc meds to help this from the begining. Hopefully we can avoid this the next round. Thanks for the response and helpful ideas!
