Terceva - diarrhea and nausea

My mother is taking Terceva for lung cancer and the diarrhea and nausea side effects are making her very miserable. She takes Imodium for diarrhea but it doesn’t seem to be working, although I don’t think she takes enough (maybe 3 or 4 a day). She say’s she has a constant sick nauseous feeling. She’s been on Terceva for 3+ weeks now. She told me last night that she was going to try to take the terceva at supper time and see if that makes any difference and she agreed to watch what she eats very carefully and eat some cheese and crackers and toasted bread and drink a little milk and so forth but stay away from anything that might upset her stomach etc.. Anyone have any other idea’s or advice about what she can do?
