      <description>you may see some people classify all the MPD&amp;#39;s (ET is one) as a form of leukemia.&amp;nbsp; Technically ET is a myeloproliferative disorder.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &amp;quot;myelo&amp;quot; is the Greek word for marrow.&amp;nbsp; &amp;quot;proliferative&amp;quot; means growing and &amp;quot;disorder&amp;quot; means an abnormal function.&amp;nbsp; So MPD is the improper function of the bone marrow.&amp;nbsp; Technically it is not cancer at all. &amp;nbsp;</description>
