Grandma just diagnosed

My grandmother is 71 years old and was just diagnosed with lung cancer that has spread into her lymph nodes to her throat and collar bone. They are planning an intense course of chemotherapy today. I am worried sick. They said we will know in 3 weeks if the chemo will work. I am wondering if it is really worth it. Right now she feels fine. She has pneumonia but that is it. I wish I knew what to do or more answers. Anyone wanna help?
