Radiofrequency Ablation

Just heard about this procedure. Anyone here ever tried it? Where and with what level of success/side effects? Sounds like something I should try since my tumors are too small for surgery. Lemme know!

RE: Radiofrequency Ablation

I originally had breast cancer in 2000. Was on tamoxifen for two years; now have been diagnosed with bc mets to the liver and bones. I have looked at every option including this one. Some of the larger cities offer this type of treatment and it may work if you only have mets in one place. If you have mets in multiple places (bones and liver, etc.) then it does not work. I have seen two specialists and they both are telling me the same information. Hope this information helps sort out the treatment options you are exploring. Are you taking Arimidex?

Look into Cancer Treatement Center of America. Their web site is cancercenter.com. I am looking into this for my mother. Also, look into rfalung.com. it is a helpful website that explains the treatment in detail.
