Angiosarcoma - New Treatment Offered to Father

My father has been treated for angiosarcoma since last spring. The disease is located on his face and scalp. The chemo used was Abraxane, normally used in women with the disease on their breasts. The difference is astonishing, but disease still remains on his forehead and on his scalp. His oncologist wants to try a new agent, called Perifosine. It has been used for patients with lung cancer. I read the info on the pharmaceutical company's website. I'm wondering if anyone has had experience with this form of chemotherapy. Thanks so much.
