http://backend.userland.com/rss RSS.NET: http://www.rssdotnet.com/ Hello all,I'm 35 and have had an unknown illness for the past 3 years now.  I have had lots of tests and blood work ups done.  I have elevated fever 100-102 all the time, cold chills, extreme fatigue, elevated white count, moderate night sweats, joint and muscle aches, abdomen pain from time to time...recently over the last few weeks nausea and I've noticed my hair is falling out alot, and weight loss.  The few doctors I've seen just keep shaking their heads and saying they don't know whats going on.  I did go to a hospital which I can't name at the moment, and went to the cancer center, sent by my primary doctor.  He suggested it was Lymphoma and ordered the tests.  At that same time they switched my records with another woman with the same name.  She was going for heart problems, totally different department.  In discovering that some things were going wrong, getting bills for heart scans and appointments that weren't mine, I called up there and spoke to a very kind woman who gave me more information than she was supposed to.  Turns out, they were sending this woman, who is 30+ years older than me with heart problems, to the cancer center and they weren't exactly sure why other than that her doctor had recieved my blood work.  I had a CTscan done here locally and there was something on my liver and when I had it done at that hospital it was gone.  My doctor informed 6 months later, when I was extrememly frustrated, that he doesn't believe any of the tests we got back were mine.  I know your thinking I should have a lawyer and such, and I do, this was over a year ago and it's still being looked into.  Meanwhile, my doc hasn't ordered anymore tests until I went in last week because I had discovered 3 lumps on my left breast and requested another doc.  Now he's ordered me to go in for a full blood work up.  Well one of my questions is (sorry if it's stupid) are there lymphnodes near/on Hi!   I wish I knew where you lived.  I'm hoping that it isn't some great big city with a dumb clinic full of flunkee Drs. and Nurses.  I know they exist as that same thing has happened to me before.  However, I finally wised up and went to another City with a wise clinic and a Dr. who did discover I had NHL.  Yours sounds more like Hodgkins Disease, and I truly hope you will find another Dr.Good Vermont.   And yes I feel as though I've been given the complete run around.  I guess I haven't moved on to a new doctor mainly because sometimes when I go in he makes me feel as though we need to hurry up and figure this out and then the next time he makes me feel as though it's all in my head and it's not a big deal. And with my insurance I have to be referred before I can see anybody else.  Still waiting to hear from the hospital and the lawyer, hoping I get my results back and I don't think Im too welcomed at that hospital anymore.  Oddly enough, my doctor found out I had seen another doctor in the office about the lumps in my breast and has ordered more blood work for me next week.  I will wait and see what happens then and go from there.Thanks, Carolyn  Rellacm33 Tue, 23 Jan 2007 00:00:00 GMT Oh yeah, and before things got screwed up at the hospital, they thought I had NHL.  I honestly haven't researched HL at all.
