To Ronald B

Hi Ron! I had my operation on Thur Sept 18th! But first, let me tell you thanks again for your help and support! It was a souce of knowledge that I couldnt get anywhere else about my particular type of surgery, and a great comfort to me and was refered to several times, and stil is!

Probably didn't have to have as extensive an operation as you did, but from the way it is still hurting feels big! They removed a growth under the back of my tongue and a pieve just in the throat and scraped the jaw bones for safety! Had been told beforehand that the biopsy that showed this to be a Squamous Cell growth about stage 2 or 3!

I fully expected to have to have radiation and chemo! BUT--my surgeon told us at the first post-op exam that I had a complete cure, WITHOUT radiation or chemo! Makes one wonder if the thing was in fact cancerous to start with!

I had went for a second opinion and this doctor gave me a pet scan that was completely clean except for the expected area, a chest xray that wa clean, and a lymphn node exam that indicated nothing!

So guess lots of the stuff that I did a couple of months along prior the the operation may have paid off, as well as lots of prayer and probably Gods healing help!

Just wanted to let you know what happened and to thank you again for your much appreciated help right at a moment in time when it was needed greatly!

If you need more info about my situation just holler!

Sincerly,

Hi David, glad everything has turn out for you, our prayers have been answered and that positive attitude! does wonders doesn't it?
My squamous was a stage 3 to 4 and the reason for the radiation was for precautionary reasons, just in case we might had missed something, but I'm doing great and glad to wake up healthy ever morning. So far my doctors have said everything looks good, so we keep on saying our prayers and move on!
Let me know how things are going every once in a while and I'll be talking to you soon, God bless you, Ron B
