Efudex

Yes, I am new to your very informative site. Am currently in the process of starting Efudex 5% protocol for six weeks on an a M/W/F schedule. Unfortately, my dermo gave me no Information regarding this product and that is why I am here. I have had both BCC and SCC's on my face, and I was told to apply this cream to a lesion by my left eye as prescribed. That was all I was told. Now, on researching these boards, etc. I am scared to even apply it to my small SCC lesion as it sounds awful. I have already had Moh's done on my forhead and several other precancerous lesions burned or taken out. So, do you think if I just do the treatment on the one lesion it will all be okay? I can't believe I was not given any documentation etc on this drug. I am so sorry for all of you who have many lesions to treat. I hope nothing else comes from this and that it doesn't show more problems. Thank you all for your encouraging words and have a blessed day! Green Eyes

Green Eyes,I will be scary and it is not pretty but the end result will be a whole lot better than not doing the treatment.I do not have advanced stage of skin cancer,my Demo noticed it just before Xmas,so I started the treatment on the 16 January,so I am still into the treatment/recovery stage.Just do it,it will be worth it.Peter

Thanks Peter for the kind words. I am doing well in my treatment process to date. Not to bad, just burrning and 'fire ant' sensation on my temple area. I do get nauseus whenever I apply the efudex and don't like that feeling but it goes away after a few hours, so all in all life is good. Hope your treatment is nearing the end stages and keep looking up! Green Eyes
