Thank you for your words...and kindness sounds like your Dad has a pretty special family around him. 7 grandchildren - amazing! Have you had any word on the treatment yet? As for kicking up a fuss. do. do. do. Not reflective of the individuals involved - more the bureaucracy and near negligent communication between departments-GPs-nurses etc - I have been incredibly annoyed with the NHS throughout mum's treatment. Funny thing is - things have just got so worse since I wrote that post. They ended up fitting the stent, without prior notice, on mum as an outpatient. she was then discharged and spent the night passing out and vomitting so much blood that she was back in hospital awaiting a blood transfusion the following day. Better than that - she had to inform her consultant of this.anyway..it all feels a bit meaningless now..the anger that is. I given up wasting my energy fighting systems and putting every last inch of what i've got into mum.The cancer's spread and doctor's have said there is nothing left they can do. all complicated by the fact that she has a huge haitus hernia ( and has had for over 15 years..why oh why they didn't do something about it before..i don't know) but she's at home now and well I'm channelling my thoughts into helping her find peace with it all.It's not easy. but keep going..and please just get in touch if you want to offload. writing helps. my thoughts are very much with you, as are an entire army of healing vibesHan x  Hannahlks Tue, 30 Jan 2007 00:00:00 GMT
