Neck mass removed, now have abdominal symptoms

Hi, I would appreciate any information you can give me. In late 2004 I noticed a non painful lump under my right neck. Went to Dr. said it was a blocked saliva gland. Given antibotics and told to suck on sour stuff. Lump got a tad smaller, but was still there. Left it alone because it didn't hurt. Went to Dr. in late 2005 for severe chest congestion, put on predisone, antibotics, and given advair. Dr. saw lump, told him was diagnosed as blocked saliva gland a year earlier. He blew it off. The Medical group I go to seems to change Dr's every 6 months to a year. In early, 2006 I noticed it felt like 2 or 3 lumps, with the first lump getting bigger, was refered to ENT. It took 7 weeks to get into the ENT. He ordered a cat scan and found that I had a 2 cm. mass in right neck. Ordered surgery to remove mass 5 weeks later. Prior to surgery developed a infection in the neck, skin became red and hot to the touch. Put on antibotics for 10 days and had surgery 4 days after finishing antibotics. The surgery was suppose to be to remove the submandibular gland. When the Dr. gooten into the neck a pathalogist was brought in to the operating room, where looking at the neck they believed it was lymphoma. Dr. removed 2 lymph nodes and part of the submandibular gland. Told family they believed they were looking at lymphoma. Had follow up with Dr. 2 days later and the pathologist said it was infection. Put on Biaxin and sent home, 2 days later was in the ER because neck turned red and warm to touch. Was given dose of IV antibotics and told to return in 12 hour for another dose. Ifection still spreading 12 hours later. Given double dose and another double dose 2 hours later. Er Dr. advised there was noway any bacteria was growing in my system. Spent next, 3 months on antibotics and had sugery site reopen on its own 4 weeks after surgery. Developed upper left abdomen pain 8 weeks after stopping antibotics. Abdomen is hard when standing, loss of appetite, tired, floating pain(legs, arms and abdomen). Er diagnosed as Diverticulitis. Colonoscopy came back normal. Some trouble with shortness of breathe and when I lay down lot of coughing. I am a smoker, but this al started or has gotten worse over the last 2 years. Chest x-ray was negative 2 weeks after surgery. Pathology could never determne what bacteria was causing this infection that started all of this. Have never ran a high grade fever, but do feel like Iam running a low grade fever quite often. Have had night sweats but chalked it up to menapuase and they were not that bad after a few months. Please if anyone has had anything like this please respond. I feel like that Dr.'s are just blowing me off.
