      <title>New to this site</title>
      <description>Hi, My name is Donna and my dad was diagnosed with 4th stage rectal that has mets to liver and lungs on 12-29-06.&amp;nbsp; He is currently in the hospital, in isolation.&amp;nbsp; He is receiving nuprogen shots at this time.&amp;nbsp; He may have resection surgery next week but that depends on blood work.. He is currently on liquid diet because of obstructions.&amp;nbsp; When he has bowel movements they are just blood and mucus.&amp;nbsp; I live about 500 miles from him and have 3 children..&amp;nbsp;I want to be with my dad but what do I do???&amp;nbsp; I talk with him daily and my step mom keeps me greatly informed.&amp;nbsp; My dad is only 63 yrs old and I am the only child.&amp;nbsp; I was there is December when he received his diagnosis.&amp;nbsp; Any helpful hints from anyone I would appreciate it.&amp;nbsp; I have enjoyed reading the message boards so far.&amp;nbsp; Thanks again and may God bless you.&amp;nbsp; Donna</description>
