Need answers

My dearest friend was diagnosed with NSLC 3 months ago. At thattime there was one 6 cm sized tumor in one lung, multiple lesions in theother, spots on her liver and brain. Chemo was begun a week laterwhich lasted a few weeks. She stopped chemo after having some seizures and feeling so miserable. A few weeks later she fell and anew scan showed multiple brain lesions (too many to count). She startedradiation a few weeks ago but became so sick she was unable to complete more than 7 or 8 treatments. She is now in the hospitalafter falling again. She is no longer herself and is great physicalpain. How much longer could she survive? I feel her treatments are prolonging her suffering. Help...

Your friend is indeed fortunate to have a friend like you. My question to you is how long can you last without breaking down. Two of my loved ones lived an extensive amount of time with terminal Cancer. I had to learn that they were living with Cancer. I had to come to terms with there suffering so that I could be there for them, as I knew they needed me as much as I wanted them to stop suffering. My prayers are with you
